I believe the only Larry B Azalea film *not* PD is Mars Needs Women. Too bad these files are not WMV or MPEG-2 files like the other Buchanan films already on IA...

Well, as Larry Buchanan's middle son, I am overjoyed to see the discussions here. How do you people know so much about my late father? Few people know about Strawberries (my first credit as an editor) and Down On Us. I have recently uncovered a few original one-sheets for some of his more infamous films.

I am actually at the very beginning of the process to create a box set of the Azalea films and re-release my father's autobiography as a much more affordable soft cover.

Will be looking to sites like this to get the word out once we have the items in hand and ready to distribute.

Thank you,

Jeff D Buchanan

Curse of the Swamp Creature is a fun one too, and definitely PD.

Thanks for collecting all that info in one handy post!

As far as I know, Strawberries Need Rain is not PD, either. I can't recall where, but someone on IA asked about it. A very unusual film for Larry B, rather arty and personal, a bit long but ultimately quite fascinating.

I highly recommend Rob Craig's book on the Films of Larry Buchanan, published by McFarland. Also, Larry's own autobio It Came From Hunger is a hoot.

Too bad Larry's now gone to that great studio (swamp or cave?) in the sky.

Haven't come across that one, but I'd sure like to see/get a copy of the very rare LB film, Hell Raiders.
